House of Chester customer case studies

Mr Dean had recently purchased his home, and his bathroom was in desperate need of refurbishment. With a corner bath, that had seen better days, and half a ton of silicone around the edges, trying to keep it water-tight, tiling that not only was tired, but may have been ok in the 70's or 80's, it was time for change.
Purchasing a modern white bath, plus new Triton electric shower, I set about the task in hand. It was a little more challenging than normal, as a sloping ceiling restricted the height of the shower head. So I devised a plan to build a wall and insert shelving for storage, which would bring the bath forward, creating more head-room.
This was a traditional terraced house, built pre-war, and the plaster on the walls had deteriorated, so when removing the tiles, the walls came with them. So it was a full refurb in the end.
I re-adjusted the plumbing for the new bath, and re-located the radiator, I sub-contracted an electrician to wire for the shower, and an experienced plasterer, to re-board, and skim the walls. From this point, it was a matter of decorating, installing the new bathroom suite, and tiling.
